Statements by exhibitors

Christian K. Muehlbauer, Product Manager Neopolen® P, Specialty Plastics, BASF SE:

“This was our first time at Material Vision and we are very pleased with the quantity and quality of visitors. The composition of the visitors was very good for our product range. Many industrial designers and product developers came to our stand and our aim in taking part in the fair was to meet these creative groups. I am confident that specific projects will emerge from these discussions. Particularly striking was the high degree of internationality on the visitor side. I estimate that 60 percent of visitors came from outside Germany, especially from the Near and Middle East, as well as neighbouring European countries.”

Clemens Grütz, Marketing Manager, PM-Pigments PPS, Merck KGaA:

“Our goal was to intensify our contacts to creative individuals and product developers, especially those from the interior design and architecture segments, and to arouse their enthusiasm for new kinds of effect-material combinations. I have been very impressed by the high degree of internationality of the fair. We have made some very promising contacts and are looking forward to the next episode of Material Vision in two years.”

Hilmar Backer, Sales Development Manager, SABIC Innovative Plastics BV:

“Material Vision gives us a particularly good opportunity to meet with designers from different industries. We are impressed by the number and quality of discussions we have held with designers – an important target group for us as suppliers of plastics with special colour effects.”

Marie Eve Betron-Pfleging, Sales Manager Germany, Quantum Glass Saint Gobain:

“We welcomed numerous visitors to our stand, including designers and representatives of international companies. I thought the accompanying events, such as the exhibitor talks in the lecture forum, were particularly good. This fringe programme should be expanded. I consider the concept of Material Vision to be good and important.”

Sebastian Hummel, Specialist for bio, nano and environmental technology in the Hessian Ministry for Economics, Transport and State Development:

“Material Vision has once again shown the great influence of new materials on the development and design of new products. Materials shape products – this was confirmed many times over during visits to the exhibition stands, as well as in numerous discussions and by lectures in the Forum. Platforms such as Material Vision are able to network the various sectors and to create completely new links. They are catalysers for innovations and shorten the way from the idea to the product. I am already looking forward to the exciting new materials that will be spotlighted at Material Vision 2013.”
